ProBuild Announces Senior Team

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ (September 7, 2006) - ProBuild Holdings, Inc., the nation's largest professional building materials supplier, announced today several organizational changes that establish the company's senior operating team. Formed in February of 2006, ProBuild was created by the merger of the Strober Organization and Lanoga Corporation. ProBuild Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman Frederick Marino announced the appointment of Paul Hylbert to the position of chief operating officer. Hylbert, who will retain his position as vice chairman of ProBuild, will be responsible for overseeing the company's operations nationwide. A 40 year industry veteran, Hylbert previously served as the chief executive officer of Lanoga Corporation. The presidents of ProBuild's regional divisions will report to Hylbert in his new position.

In addition to Hylbert's appointment as COO, Marino also announced the appointments of Joseph Todd and George Finkenstaedt to the positions of senior vice president of market development and senior vice president of supply chain and manufacturing, respectively. Todd, who previously served as senior vice president of market development for the Strober Organization, will have responsibility for national account sales and marketing. Finkenstaedt, formerly the vice president of market development for the Lanoga Corporation, will oversee the company's manufacturing capabilities and manage the organization's supply chain related activities.

William Brakken will continue to have oversight responsibility for the company's accounting, finance, treasury tax, real estate, legal, and merger and acquisition functions, until a chief financial officer has been identified. Once a CFO is in place, Brakken will assume a Seattle-based senior operating position. Reporting to the CFO will be Michael Cassidy, the former vice president of corporate development for the Strober Organization, who will now lead the M & A function for ProBuild. Cassidy will be responsible for identifying prospects and executing acquisitions in support of the company's aggressive growth objectives.

Marino indicated that the company is creating a new position, executive vice president of strategy and business operations, which will have responsibility for leading the company's development businesses, such as construction lending and land development, and for overseeing several functional areas including human resources, IT, strategy and development. The company is actively seeking a candidate to fill this position.

"Following the acquisition of Lanoga and more recently Hope Lumber, we evaluated how best to structure ProBuild to effectively deliver value to our customers across our new national footprint and to support the significant growth we see in the future," stated Marino. "We recognize that it is absolutely essential that we have the right leadership in place to help us achieve our goals not only for right now, but also for the years ahead."

Marino announced also the company's intention to establish a new headquarters in a central location that would facilitate the support of ProBuild's national footprint. ProBuild expects to finalize its decision regarding a location in the near future, and the senior team will relocate to the new headquarters sometime during the first quarter of 2007.

"Moving forward, we will continue to grow ProBuild to perpetuate our leadership position within our industry," continued Marino. "The new organization is designed to fully utilize the talent throughout ProBuild and to ensure that our significant capabilities are fully leveraged in support of our customers, suppliers, employees and ownership."
