Denver, CO (May 21, 2007) ProBuild Holdings, Inc., the nation’s largest professional building materials supplier, recently announced the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Denver, CO. The company, which was formed in early 2006 as a holding company for Fidelity Capital’s building materials distribution portfolio, operates more than 500 lumber and building product distribution, manufacturing, and assembly centers throughout the United States. It conducts business nationwide under several brands including Denver-based Home Lumber Company.
“Aggressive acquisition activity last year provided ProBuild with nationwide distribution capabilities,” said ProBuild Chief Executive Officer Paul Hylbert. “Denver’s convenient location and state-of-the-art airport provides us a central point to facilitate support of our national footprint. In addition to the favorable business climate, Denver and Colorado provide a great place to attract the talented people we need to support the tremendous growth we expect to achieve.”
ProBuild was created in February 2006 by the merger of the Strober Organization of South Plainfield, NJ and Lanoga Corporation of Redmond, WA. In July 2006, the company added Tulsa, OK-based Hope Lumber to its portfolio. Pro-forma annual revenues for 2006 approached $6 billion.
