Morrestown, NJ (April 2, 2007) – New Jersey based US Components LLC, a major supplier of high-quality truss and wall panels to professional builders and contractors across the east coast, announced today that it has purchased the assets of Riverside Roof Truss, Inc. US Components is a division of ProBuild Holdings, the largest supplier of building materials to the professional contractor. Terms of the sale have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Danville, Virginia, Riverside Roof Truss is a high volume manufacturer of floor and roof trusses for Virginia and North Carolina area builders.
“Riverside’s team has built a very solid organization, and we are delighted to be aligning ourselves with a company with such a strong service reputation,” said Dave Walstad, president of U.S. Components. “The addition of Riverside now provides us with truss production from New York to the South Carolina markets and is part of our aggressive plan to expand the manufacturing capacity in all of the markets we serve. Moving forward, U.S. Components will look to continue this expansion through acquisitions as well as start-up operations so that we can provide truss and wall panel products to all of ProBuild’s building supply locations.”
Keith Walden, the current owner of Riverside Roof Truss, initially will assist in the transition of Riverside to US Components. In addition to continuing to be involved with the Danville location, Keith will assume an executive position within US Components and begin taking on other truss business development initiatives throughout the Southeast.
